Navigation

MSV elektronika produces and supplies visual and acoustic information systems and their individual components (ISC) for rail vehicles. The information system solution is optimised for the given application in the vehicle to make use of the vehicle's existing standardised vehicle-to-vehicle modules and operator interface units.

Aside from communicating information to passengers via information panels and the on-board intercom, the information subsystem also allows communication between the train driver's station and the personnel station and making announcements via the intercom from these two stations.

Vehicle-to-vehicle connection may be realised via a standard UIC cable or an Ethernet link.

BIS Control Unit

BIS Control Unit

The heart of information systems is the BIS control unit, which stores text/messages for display on screens and for voice announcements. Based on information about distance travelled, speed, door opening, or the position of its own or another GPS receiver, the control unit uses CAN lines to send text messages onto the screens located in its own car and in the other cars in the train.

The information system on regional trains is operated via the train driver's screen, which is also used for other applications. Separate display units can also be used.

Information System Boards

Information System Boards

External information boards are designed for mounting either behind a window in the interior of the vehicle or for integration into the side of the vehicle, e.g. on multi-level cars.

Interior information boards are designed for mounting onto a wall or partition in the passenger compartment. Some of our boards include a speaker for making announcements or have an integrated indication of the status of WIFI, toilet vacancy, etc.

The boards are designed for displaying the origin station, destination and the stations along the way. The display of upcoming stations can be dynamically modified in relation to the real position of the train.

LCD Panels

LCD Panels

The LCD panel of the information system is designed primarily for use in the interior of rail vehicles and public transport vehicles and is used for informing the passengers about the route, terminus, delays, unscheduled stops, safety information etc.

The panels are suitable for retrofitting or renovating existing vehicles.
The panel is controlled by the vehicle's master control system via a CAN bus or Ethernet.

The panels are available in multiple versions for different types of installation in the vehicle. Available in one-sided, double-sided and double-sided V-shaped variants with aspect ratios of 32:9 (29.5”) or 16:9 (18.5”).

Other Peripherals

Other Peripherals

Passenger intercoms are designed for installation in the interior of rail vehicles and public transport vehicles to allow communicating with the passengers and displaying information in text or simple symbols.

Speech adapters are designed for controlling the on-board intercom and communication system which uses a UIC558 train bus. The speech set consists of a base and a receiver with control elements. It is designed for installation onto the train driver's dashboard or into the passenger car's lounge and is thus intended for use only by the train and locomotive personnel.

Volume control modules and noise measurement modules, designed for automated or manual adjustment of intercom volume. The noise measurement module makes measurements and transmits the results via a communication line. The volume control module allows for manual volume adjustment using buttons.
